yeah that was messed up, my sister withness a cat get hit by a car, poor little thing, she doesn't know what got into it, but it got scared and it just ran across the street as the car was coming and it didn't make it. the car hit it and the lady that was driving stopped and went to check on the cat and burst into tears.... it was a bad thing...
It was really weird. My brother and I walked past a storm drain and two sparrows flew out right into oncoming traffic. Landed right under what looked like an SUV. The back tire came up and one bird saw it and took off but the other one wasn't fast enough. It was just like, "Why the heck would you do that?!" 0_o But it was really quick.
Awww, that sounds awful for the pup, :( having to run and be in pain like that. Hopefully someone had found it and gotten some care for it. At least for the bird it was really quick.
Poor little bird. But trust me, it ain't as bad as seeing a dog get run over but still be alive and try to run away in fear with a broken hind leg. I was in highschool. I has the exact same expression you so wonderfully replicated and I felt horrible. :[
